Well, it isn’t a nut, as the name might imply. This superfood is a small root vegetable that grows in Northern Africa and the Mediterranean. Tigernut flour is naturally gluten free, grain free and paleo.  It is rich in fiber, potassium, iron, magnesium, vitamin E and amino acids.  Tigernut flour offers those allergic to nuts a source of non-animal protein. Being naturally sweet, it cuts down amount of sugar needed.

Panela is a raw, unrefined cane sugar. Ours is hand cut, hand kettled, hand crafted. That means no industrial collection or processing. It has been traditionally handmade for centuries by dehydrating raw sugarcane juice over low heat. Because it is made in such a simple way, it retains the flavorful and nutrient rich molasses from sugarcane. The molasses in panela gives it its distinct flavor as well as some naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, and
antioxidants.

Our tigernut flour is specially steamed and the almond flour is pasteurized.  This ensures safety in eating the cookie dough.  No eggs are used, as this is a vegan product.

This is very important at Sarah’s Delectables.  We buy directly from the producer whenever possible.  Our tigernut flour comes from Spain.  A family company in California produces our almond flour.  The fair trade plus vanilla is from a company here in the USA. Our panela is from Columbia.  Spices are obtained from a New York company that partners with artisan spice farmers around the world.  Every purchase directly supports them.

Coconut oil comes from the Philippines.  The company uses a portion of every sale towards regenerative agriculture.

Absolutely!  This is a huge factor in what companies we have decided to use.

No GMO’s are in our products, EVER!!!

We avoid the use of anything that is laboratory made!  Since natural flavorings are basically “perfume for food”, they are 80-90% chemicals.  This is why you will not find certain flavors of cookie dough from us (like birthday cake).

The cinnamon is non-irradiated and free from any fillers, additives, or preservatives.

Absolutely not!  This is one of many reasons I support the Singing Dog vanilla company.  Also, their vanilla beans are all organically grown.

The dough can be eaten as a snack.  It is delicious broken up and mixed into your favorite ice cream.  They are decadent when dipped into melted chocolate.  The cookie dough makes for a unique filling inside cupcakes.

No way!!!  Your non-gluten free and vegan friends will be shocked in the decadence without the wheat, butter, and eggs!

YES!  It can safely be left at room temperature for 2 weeks.  However, just put it in the freezer upon arrival.

Frozen, unopened dough is best used within 3 months.  Frozen, opened dough is best used within 30 to 60 days (as long as it is in a sealed container).

Yes, it can remain in the refrigerator for 30 days.  This is an option for those who enjoy eating the dough.  However, we recommend storing in the freezer to prolong the freshness.  Remember, no additives or preservatives are added!

Gluten, dairy (butter, milk), eggs, grain, corn, refined sugar, soy, sesame, GMO’s, oils (palm, corn, canola, sunflower, avocado), gums, emulsifiers, natural flavoring, corn syrup, artificial colors, artificial flavors, artificial dyes.  Nothing made in a lab!!!!

These recipes were made specifically for my daughter’s diet, no added forms of plant protein or flours that are high in protein.  With kidney disease, this is a must!

Since the sea salt flakes are much larger, they are easy to “brush off” the tops if you are serving or baking this for someone that would not enjoy or appreciate this (my kids).

The resealable packets of gourmet infused salt that come with the other flavors are a smaller grain and would be more difficult to remove.  This gives you the ease of adding decadence if you so desire!

Being a small business, I needed to prioritize where money goes.  These certifications are super expensive!  Getting my cookie dough into your hands is my goal for now.  Down the line it will be obtained!

Due to the high cost of shipping materials required (to get your dough to you frozen), we need to set a minimum.  Thank you for understanding!
